What Chimbuko is, what you are buying, and where responsibility sits — stated the same way we state it on every sheet.
The service
Chimbuko generates schematic pre-design architectural drawings from your brief, checked against Kenyan residential code rules. Until a registered architect reviews, signs and stamps a set, every sheet is schematic pre-design — not for construction and not for county submission, and each sheet says so.
Previews and payment
Previews are watermarked and obscured: dimensions, scale and title block are held back. Payment delivers the same drawing, clean and to scale. We do not regenerate drawings after you pay — what you approved is what arrives.
Revisions
Two revisions are free before your views are generated. After your views are made, each further revision is charged at the listed rate and includes a fresh set of all nine views, so what you see always matches the plan.
Your licence
A purchase grants you a licence to build the design once, for the project it was briefed for. The drawings may be shared with your architect, contractor and county for that project. Reselling or redistributing the drawings is not permitted. Chimbuko retains all rights in the engine and drawing system.
The stamped set
The Stamped Set is reviewed, amended where professional judgment requires, and signed and stamped by a BORAQS-registered architect of record, who stands behind the drawings. County submission requires more than the architectural set — a structural engineer’s package among other items — and those are not included; your architect can advise.
Payments
M-Pesa and card. Card charges in USD settle at the day’s rate. Prices are as listed at the time of purchase, and every listed price includes VAT at 16%.
Liability
To the extent Kenyan law permits, our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the deliverable concerned. Building from unstamped schematic drawings is at your own risk — that is what the stamp is for.
Changes and governing law
We may update these terms; the date above changes when we do. Kenyan law governs, and Kenyan courts have jurisdiction.
